Victoria and Dezmond’s story begins at the Capital City Club in Columbia, South Carolina, where a mutual friend played Cupid and gently nudged Dezmond to make the first move. Dezmond reached out—and thank goodness, because their first date at Gervais & Vine turned into a three-hour conversation that felt like ten minutes. Between shared plates and shared laughs, it was clear they’d found something special.
From there, Columbia, South Carolina became the backdrop to countless inside jokes, late-night talks, and a growing list of favorite spots—none more beloved than the local live jazz spot, Chayz Lounge. So when Dezmond planned the proposal, he chose the perfect place, Chayz Lounge. Victoria was surprised, said yes through happy tears, and the celebration continued with an intimate family gathering at her uncle’s house.
